Bio
Hailey graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2024 with a B.S. in Biology. She completed her honors capstone in the Macabenta Lab, studying cell migration defects in Drosophila. After graduating, she worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Biomanufacturing Custom Formulation Technician, where she manufactured and formulated synthetic DNA for a variety of research applications. Currently, Hailey is pursuing her master's degree, focusing her research on time-of-day effects during infection.
In the future, she hopes to run her own research lab focused on finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.
